Privacy policy

SIEIAI Academy (academy.sieiai.com) is run by SIEIAI, based in Bali, Indonesia. We follow Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 of 2022). This page explains what we collect and why, in plain words.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address and the year you were born. We don't ask for your full birthday, address, phone number or school.
• Parent or guardian: if you are under 18, your parent's email, and the date they gave permission.
• Learning: which lessons you open and finish, your quiz answers and scores, your notes and bookmarks.
• Payments: what you bought and when. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider (Midtrans); we never see or store them.
• Technical: the browser you sign in with (to show your signed-in devices) and short-lived security records such as failed sign-in counts.

Why we use it

To run your account, show your progress, mark your quizzes, send receipts and important account emails, keep the site secure, and improve our courses. We only send marketing emails if you tick the box for them.

Children

Many of our students are under 18. For them we collect only what is listed above, we ask a parent or guardian for permission before any purchase, and we never show ads, sell data, or show a student's details to other students. A parent can ask us to see, correct or delete their child's data at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the site for us: hosting (Vercel), our database (Supabase), email (Resend) and payments (Midtrans). They may only use the data to provide their service. We never sell personal data.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your light/dark choice and code drafts are saved in your own browser. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

As long as your account is open. Email copies are cleared after 30 days. Payment records are kept as long as Indonesian tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account: email hello@sieiai.com. We reply within 30 days.
